The process differs slightly depending on the device you use.
iPhones
- A notification is displayed "Possible crash has been detected. Initiating emergency countdown.".
- If volume is on, you'll hear the following: "Crash detected, emergency countdown initiated" and a countdown alarm every second.
- If you open the app shortly after, the Emergency Countdown Screen will be displayed. You may cancel the Emergency Countdown Screen in case of a False Crash Alert. See Emergency Countdown Screen at the bottom of this article.
- If you don't cancel the Emergency Countdown: Our 24/7 emergency contact centre will be alerted and your emergency contacts will receive a SMS message. Our call centre will phone you to confirm if you need assistance and to obtain your location. If you confirm, we'll dispatch the nearest ambulance.
- If you cancel the Emergency Countdown:
- A popup will appear, asking why you've cancelled the Emergency Countdown. Please refer to: False Crash Alert.
Android
- The screen is unlocked and the Emergency Countdown Screen will be displayed. You may cancel the Emergency Countdown Screen in case of a False Crash Alert. See Emergency Countdown Screen at the bottom of this article.
- You'll hear the following: "Crash detected, emergency countdown initiated" and a countdown alarm every second.
- If you don't cancel the Emergency Countdown:
- FREE subscriptions: your emergency contacts will be notified
- PAID subscriptions: our 24/7 emergency contact centre will be notified. If we're unable to get hold of you, we'll dispatch the nearest ambulance.
- If you cancel the Emergency Countdown:
- A popup will appear, asking why you've cancelled the Emergency Countdown. Please refer to: False Crash Alert.
