The RoadSave app will detect a severe a severe impact on your smartphone device, which might signal a "Serious Car Crash". A Serious Car Crash is classified as follows:
- The car has come to a complete standstill immediately post impact and is impaired eg no longer drivable.
- The driver and/or occupants sustained serious bodily injuries resulting in incapacity, preventing them from contacting help eg Emergency Medical and/or other Assistance Services themselves.
Should you be involved in a smaller car crash and would like to request Emergency Medical Services, please make use of our Medical Emergency Button.
Important notes:
- The RoadSave app has to be running and Trip Monitoring active during the time of the crash in order for Crash Alert to function. Please refer to our Trip Monitoring Best Practices and Crash Alert Best Practices for more information.
